London, Jan. 20: Brazilian and A C Milan football star Kaka says that he was moved by the support of his Italian club fans in taking the sensational decision to reject a world record offer from the Arab-owned Manchester City football club.

He turned down their 243-million pound bid, 107 million pounds of which was to be his playing fees.

The decision was announced after a tense day of high-level meetings between Kaka's representatives and leading officials from both clubs.

A C Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, who is also Italy's Prime Minister, took the extraordinary step of telephoning a national television station to declare that Kaka was staying.

London - West Ham United confirmed on Monday that they have agreed a fee to sell striker Craig Bellamy to Manchester City.

The turbulent Wales international had stormed out of training last week - subsequently being omitted from the squad for Sunday's 3-1 win over Fulham - after West Ham turned down bids from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

London, Jan. 19: Former England football star David Beckham has said that Manchester United will always be the number one football club in England in his eyes, and adds that the Arab-owned Manchester City club will be a pretender at best.

"I only care about Manchester United personally. City have been bought by a company now and there's a lot of money there. But for me, United are the only team in Manchester," The Sun quoted Beckham, as saying during a training session with the Italian club A C Milan.

Commenting on Brazilian star Kaka, who has been approached by Manchester City with an offer of 91 million pounds, Beckham said Kaka did not need his advice.

London  - West Ham United eased their relegation fears with a 3-1 victory over Fulham on Sunday.

Mark Noble restored West Ham's lead from the penalty spot after Paul Konchesky had cancelled out David Di Michele's early opener.

Carlton Cole added a third to make the game safe with 14 minutes remaining.

The victory lifts West Ham to eighth, eight points off the drop zone.

Fulham, unbeaten in their previous nine, are three points behind but have two games in hand.

Forward Craig Bellamy was left out of the West Ham squad, apparently a reaction to the way he stormed out of training on Friday.

London, Jan. 18 : Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is thinking of selling the Chelsea football club to Gulf Arabs.

According to The Times, representatives of the oligarch have travelled to Saudi Arabia and Dubai to elicit interest in the club.

At least one of the meetings was with members of the Saudi royal family. There has been no evidence so far of a potential buyer.

The Middle East has become the cash cow for British football teams.

One source said: “Abramovich’s team have been out in the Middle East sounding out what interest there is in buying the club.”

Chelsea, however, insisted last night that Abramovich was still fully committed to the club on which he has lavished hundreds of millions of pounds.
