United boss Ferguson fires new salvo in battle with BenitezLondon  - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson continued his war of words with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez on Friday, accusing him of treating opponents with contempt.

He criticised him for describing Liverpool's city rivals Everton, whom United face in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final, as a small club.

"Everton are a big club, not a small one which Benitez arrogantly said," said Ferguson.

Charles Itandje London  - Liverpool will redouble their efforts to offload goalkeeper Charles Itandje after he was caught on camera laughing during Wednesday's Hillsborough memorial service.

Members of the congregation afterwards complained about Itandje's behaviour, with various reports suggesting manager Rafa Benitez was furious with the French goalkeeper's attitude.

The service was held at Anfield on Wednesday to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the tragedy that led to the deaths of 96 Liverpool fans at an FA Cup semi-final.

Arsenal boss Wenger hits out at Wembley pitch

Arsene WengerLondon  - Arsene Wenger admitted on Friday that he is less than impressed by the new Wembley Stadium and its pitch, where his Arsenal side face Chelsea in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final.

Arsenal have not played at Wembley since it re-opened two years ago, but Wenger has seen little on his visits as a spectator to enthuse him.

"I loved the old Wembley, and I was not too impressed by the new Wembley," he said.

"I was only there was as a spectator, at the first FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United (in 2007).

Klasnic rejects Bremen settlement as he he seeks the truth Bremen, Germany  - Croatian footballer Ivan Klasnic on Friday rejected a settlement in a dispute with his former club Werder Bremen over his kidney problems which eventually led to a transplant.

Klasnic said he reject an offer of 350,000 euros (462,000 dollars) made by a Bremen judge not because the sum was too small but rather because he wants Bremen team doctors to acknowledge that they did not treat him properly.

"I could have died on the pitch ... I want justice to win and the truth to be revealed," Klasnic said.

UEFA CupHamburg  - SV Hamburg set up an all-German UEFA Cup semi- final tie against Werder Bremen despite losing 2-1 to Manchester City Thursday while Ukrainian clubs Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev will meet in the other semi after prevailing in their quarter-final ties.

Leading 3-1 from the first leg, Hamburg looked to have one foot in the last four of the competition when Paolo Guerrero took advantage of City's failure to clear a low cross from Jonathan Pitroipa to fire a low shot low into the corner after 12 minutes.

Dynamo Kiev first team into UEFA Cup semi-finalsHamburg  - Dynamo Kiev became the first team to book their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup Thursday thanks to a 3-0 defeat of French side Paris St Germain.

The tie was finely balanced at 0-0 after the quarter-final first leg in France but the Ukrainians took control from the start at the Valeri Lobanovskiy stadium in Kiev, scoring twice in the opening 16 minutes.

Ismael Bangoura opened the scoring after just four minutes with a low shot and PSG goalkeeper Mickael Landreau punched the ball into his own net 12 minutes later to hand the home side a two-goal lead.
