Bill Cosby’s iconic 80’s sitcom set for porn spoof spin-off?

New York, December 7: Actor Bill Cosby’s extremely popular family sitcom ‘The Cosby Show’ that reigned the 1980’s is said to have a revival as a porn spoof.

The veteran’s TV comedy, which had run for eight seasons on the NBC television network, had beem amongst the biggest TV hits spanning from 1984 to 1992, reports the New York Post.

The household comedy, which focused on the Huxtable family, an upper-middle class African-American family living in Brooklyn, New York, may now be turned into "Not the Cosbys XXX".

The production will reportedly have an actor mimicking the comedian’s signature Cliff Huxtable character while being in the middle of the X-rated action, reports avn. com.

SRK to help develop local film industry in Malacca

Kuala Lumpur, Dec 7 : Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who became the first Indian actor to be conferred on a prestigious Malaysian title, has agreed to help Malacca in developing local film industry and scout the state for movie locations.

The 43-year-old said that a team from Mumbai would visit Malacca sometime next August or September to explore locations for movies.

“There is a film I am planning to shoot some time in August and Sep­tember and I will send a team to look around Malacca,” The Star Online quoted him, as saying at a press conference after receiving his Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) from Governor Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob at a ceremony in Ayer Keroh yesterday.

Italian film Gomorrah cleans up at European film festival

Italian film Gomorrah cleans up at European film festival Copenhagen  - The Italian film Gomorrah, about the criminal underworld in Naples, cleaned up Saturday night at the European Film Awards in the Danish capital, receiving five of the 15 top awards.

In addition to receiving the prize as the top European film of 2008, director Matteo Garrone was named best director and Toni Servillo named the best actor.

Servillo's award also included his work in Il Divo (The Star.)

Gomorrah also received the prize for best script, and Garrone's cameraman Marco Onorato was named for the best photography.

Akon plans acting career

AkonWashington, Dec 6 : Popstar Akon is considering a move into the film industry.

The ‘Smack That’ hitmaker has expressed his plans to retire from music career and turn to acting.

“On the movie side, acting is something I will entertain later. Now I''m into more of the behind the scenes stuff: producing the movies, scoring the movies, doing the soundtracks, and slowly I''ll make my way in,” Contactmusic quoted Akon, as saying.

Akon stated that he is waiting to fulfill his music commitments before moving his base to Hollywood.
