Heath Ledger honoured with Best Actor award for ‘Joker’ role

London, December 7 : Heath Ledger has been honoured posthumously with the ‘best actor’ award for his phenomenal performance as the villainous Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ in his native Australia.

The 28-year-old, who had died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January 2008, had been given a standing ovation after being granted the Australian Film Institute''s international award.

The AFI paid tribute to the late ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor in Melbourne dubbing him as “the untamed spirit” as his sister Kate, accompanied by her parents, accepted the award on his behalf.

"It has been without a doubt the most difficult year, losing such a loved family member," BBC quoted her as saying.

The four parties – Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the estates of John Len-non and George Harrison – are the main shareholders in the company that has managed the Beatles’ interests since the 1960s, reports Times Online.

London, December 7 : Kerry Katona’s mounting cash troubles have reportedly increased after hubby Mark Croft confessed being a father to a three-year-old boy that could make the couple face a huge care taking bill.

The bankrupt singer, who lost out on a 160,000-pound deal to film a fly-on-the-wall series, may have to pay thousands to Mark’s ex-girlfriend with whom he had “casual relationship” before he met the performer.

“This couldn’t have come at a worse time for Kerry and Mark. They’re totally and utterly broke,” News of the World quoted a source as saying.

“As well as back payments they’ll have to cough up every month for the next 15 years. It’s going to be a real stretch for them”
