Hair labels ICC chief Lorgat a bullySydney, Mar. 9 : Test umpire Darryl Hair has labeled ICC CEO Haroon Lorgat a bully for telling on-field officials caught in the recent Lahore attack to be "more rational" about their experience.

Australian umpires Simon Taufel and Steve Davis have complained that Pakistan failed to protect them when gunmen opened fire as they travelled behind the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore on February 2.

Lorgat, the umpires'' boss, suggested on Sunday that they were overwrought and needed to reflect on events calmly.

Broad and `muppet’ Panesar launch verbal assault on umpires

Trinidad (West Indies), Mar. 9 : England's frustration against the West Indies in the ongoing Fifth Test here, was summed up by withering verbal assaults about the pitch and umpires by all-rounder Stuart Broad and left arm spinner Monty Panesar.

Describing the playing surfaces in the West Indies as `terrible' after another barren day in which just three wickets fell in the Fifth Test, The Sun quoted Broad as saying: "It was a frustrating day. PCB vows to host 2011 World Cup despite international boycott callLondon, Mar. 9: Notwithstanding the wide spread call of boycott by the international cricket community after the Lahore terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has vowed to co-host the 2011 World Cup.

Putting aside all the apprehensions by the international cricket associations, the PCB chairman, Ijaz Butt has said that Pakistan would be hosting an international team in the coming six to nine months, and that it will be hosting the 2011 World Cup.

Two bowlers reported for suspected illegal bowling actions at ICC Women''s World Cup

Dubai, Mar. 9 : England fast bowler Jenny Gunn and Sri Lanka off-spinner Rose Fernando have been reported because of suspected illegal actions.

The two bowlers were reported by umpires Gerard Abood and Kathy Cross at the conclusion of their ICC Women's World Cup 2009 match which England won by 100 runs at the Manuka Oval, Canberra on Saturday.

In their report the umpires raised concerns over the Gunn's short-pitched deliveries and Fernando's quicker balls and decided it was appropriate for their deliveries to be scrutinised further under the relevant ICC process.

That process states that any bowler reported in this way will be dealt with by the relevant Member board as per ICC regulations for women's ODIs below:
