Stuart Clark signs six-week deal with KentBrisbane (Australia), Mar. 16: Injured Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark has signed a six-week deal to play English county cricket with Kent in the hope of making it back to the national squad for the Ashes this year.

Clark had elbow surgery at the start of the summer then was forced to miss the South African tour because of another flare-up.

Desperate to churn through some overs ahead of the opening Ashes in Cardiff in July, the 33-year-old Clark said the brief stint with Kent was the perfect chance to reignite his ambitions.

Port of Spain, Mar 16: England’s bid to regain momentum after last week’s Test series defeat against West Indies failed when Ramnaresh Sarwan hit 59 from 46 balls to propel his team to a six-wicket victory over the English side in their Twenty20 match at Queen’s Park Oval.

England were bowled out for just 121 in 19.1 overs after they were sent in to bat, and West Indies replied strongly with
123 for four from 18 overs.
