Gareth Bale reveals only thing he misses in Madrid is Nando's chicken

London, Nov 23 - World's most expensive footballer Gareth Bale, who has his own personal chef and dines at the finest restaurants in Spain, has revealed that the only thing he is missing in Madrid is chicken restaurant 'Nando's'.

The Welsh wizard, who plays for European champions Real Madrid, is just 300 miles from the food chain's home of Portugal, but his weakness for chicken can't be nullified. Even his own personal chef reportedly can't conjure up the same piri-piri taste.

And the father-of-one longs for nothing more than a visit to the chain, which is a favourite of footballers and other sports stars, The Daily Express reported.

Bale said that he does miss a bit of Nando's, adding that it's funny, it's those tiny things one misses, adding that they would bring English teabags over with them and chocolate.

Bale said that he unfortunately can't really move Nando's over.

The soccer star is reportedly surrounded by home comforts and even has one of his best friends acting as a personal assistant. Among his other cravings are Dairy Milk and Galaxy chocolate.

Bale said that some good old British chocolate never goes amiss, a bit of Dairy Milk or Galaxy is fantastic, adding that they have Milka there and it's not the same.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger is a regular at Txistu in the Spanish capital, a favourite of politicians and celebrities and where Bale has discovered a new obsession with tapas.

He said that he is a bit obsessed with it, adding that it's the ultimate, and also admitted that he would ship it home to England if he ever moved back.

When he's finished with the chicken and chocolate, Bale's personal chef keeps him to a strict diet at his mansion where he lives with girlfriend Emma Rhys-Jones and daughter Alba Violet, the report added. (ANI)
