Gangster Goldy Brar became famous after he took responsibility for killing popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Currently, Goldy Brar (Satinderjit Singh Brar) is living in Canada and he has issued multiple death threats to Salman Khan. In an interview with India Today, Goldy Brar claimed that his gang will surely kill Salman Khan. He added that if Khan apologizes to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, they may pardon him.

Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has also appeared in interviews in the past. He is currently in a high-security Tihar jail in India. Few months earlier, a video interview of Bishnoi appeared on a popular TV channel. He claimed that he has a list of 10 targets in India and Salman Khan is on top of the list. Such open threats to top Bollywood celebrities get the much-needed limelight to these gangs. Many of these gangs gain notoriety after such threats to high profile targets. Then, they continue collecting protection money from business owners and popular personalities.

Uttar Pradesh government has taken strict action against gangsters in the recent years. Under leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, many gangsters have been either killed (during encounters that have caused controversy) or arrested. As per reports, some of the gangsters have from Uttar Pradesh have shifted their base to Haryana and Punjab. In the recent years, many local gangs have mushroomed in Punjab. After Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, people across Punjab have been asking for answers from government about law and order situation.

The issue with Salman Khan dates back to 1998 when Salman Khan killed two black bucks during shoot of a movie. Black buck is considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. Salman Khan has already faced lawsuit in this case. Actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, and Sonali Bendre, the other four defendants, were cleared of all charges but Salman Khan faced a long legal battle for this issue. As he has hurt the sentiments of the Bishnoi community, gangster Bishnoi wants to kill the actor.

National Investigation Agency has confirmed that Lawrence Bishnoi has a target with 10 prominent personalities in India.

Salman Khan has been provided Y Plus security cover after the threat. Mumbai Police has already filed a case against Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with threat emails. These days, the gangsters use social media to go live and threat their targets (usually celebrities). Rapper Honey Singh has also received death threat recently from Goldy Brar.

The question we should ask here is why these so-called gangsters are moving freely in Canada or other countries like United Kingdom. Because Western nations have much better information about their residents and their movements, isn’t is possible for the local governments to arrest these people. Openly claiming to have killed Sidhu Moosewala and threatening to kill Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan should be enough for such gangsters to be arrested. None of that has happened so far.
