Indian aggressive opener Gautam Gambhir has retained the top spot in the latest ICC Test batsmen's rankings for the second successive week, which was released on Tuesday. Gambhir was nominated for the Arjuna Award, one of the countries highest sporting awards.

Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara also managed to retain his spot as he continued to be at the third spot with 837 points, just one point behind the second spot.
Gambhir has been rewarded the top spot for his extraordinary performance on New Zealand tour, and in the test series against Australia at the home soil.
Gambir has become only fifth Indian batsman to capture top spot in test rankings after Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Vishwanath and Dilip Vengsarkar.
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the ODI rankings for batsmen, while the stylish batsman Yuvraj Singh captured the second spot.
