According to reports, a Samsung Galaxy S 4 smartphone burst into flames causing a huge fire at a house in Hong Kong.

The reports identified the house owner as Mr. Du, who said that his phone, battery, and charger were all legitimate Samsung products. The fire engulfed his entire house and everything inside was destroyed. Chinese media reports said that Du sat on the living room sofa playing the game "Love Machine" on his charging GS4 when the device exploded.

The person threw the device to the sofa and this spread the fire to the sofa and then tot eh rest of the house through curtains. Du, his wife, and his dogs left the house without being hurt and neighbours were also evacuated from the houses for some time by the fire-fighters in the city. The furniture and appliances in the house were destroyed and their Mercedes parked outside was also damaged.

Some say that it is to be seen if the cause of the fire, which destroyed the entire house, was actually the small device. The initial investigations have revealed no suspicious circumstances on the incident on the matter.
