Four militants killed in Manipur
Police commandos of Manipur killed four militants in separate encounters in two districts on Friday.
Two of the militants were killed in Imphal West district. According to police, they were members of Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC).
Two 9mm pistols were recovered from the spot.
Two other militants were gunned down by police commandos in Imphal East district.
Police suspects their hand in the October 21 Imphal bomb blast, which killed 17 people and 30 others injured.
According to reports, commandos got information last night that some militants were present in Sabal Leikai area.
As they intensified search operation, they were fired upon by the militants and in the ensuing encounter two militants were gunned down.
More than 320 persons including civilians were so far killed in militancy-related crimes this year in Manipur.
