The daughter of ex-Cincinnati Bengals player Devon Still recently celebrated one year of being cancer-free. Last year, at the age of 4 Leah Still was diagnosed with stage-4 neuroblastoma. According to the Mayo Clinic, the disease takes birth from immature nerve cells present in many areas of the body and mainly affects children under the age of 5 years.

On Friday, Devon Still chose social media to celebrate the ‘second birthday’ of his daughter. Still wrote on Instagram that he wants to wish a happy second birthday to his baby, Leah. He mentioned that March 25th has marked 365 days of her being in remission. He called it a day on which his daughter got a second chance at life. For one full year, Leah Still was in remission. Leah, now 5, has defeated pediatric cancer.

The Houston, Texas tackler posted a photograph of a smiling Leah on Instagram accompanied by a heart touching message to honor his princess and her fight with neuroblastoma.

In 2014, the story of the father and daughter captivated the country, when Still was placed in the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad for assisting him pay for the cancer treatment of Leah. Later, they signed him to the 53-man roster. Still’s No. 75 jersey then became a symbol of Leah's fight, and the Bengals presented a $1.3 million cheque to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital obtained from the sales of the item. Moreover, Devon and Leah also received the Jimmy V Award at the 2015 ESPYs.
