FM’s son Abhijit Mukherjee joined the Congress party in Kolkata

Abhijit-MukherjeeOnly a few weeks prior to the West Bengal Assembly elections, Finance
Minister Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijit Mukherjee entered the league of
the Congress party in Kolkata yesterday. Abhijit, previously under the
employment of the state owned Steel Authority of India Limited, told
that he now has ample experience for jumping into politics. Abhijit
Mukherjee will most likely to be a part of the upcoming assembly polls
in the state.

As per the recent media reports, the FM’s son is going to be the party's
candidate from one of the constituencies in Birbhum district.

In the budget, the Centre had made its strategy quite clear i. e. all
about sustaining growth and development. However, the most vital measure
is to fix implementation after this.

Prior to the presentation made by the Finance Minister of the Union
Budget for 2011-12, it was felt by many political observers that he
might just take this as an opportunity to shore up the government’s
reducing equity.

Meanwhile, it had been anticipated by few others that some big-ticket
reforms implied that the government had recovered from the series of
scams that had taken place recently and implied that business worthy of
the mandate people handed it over a couple of years back.
