Fir Registered Against Navjyot Singh SidhuPolice registered an FIR against BJP MP and former cricketer Navjyot Singh Sidhu for purportedly inciting religious feelings of the people through his speech at Kareli in Madhya Pradesh on November 11.

"Sidhu had on November 11, while delivering a poll speech at Kareli, had allegedly told the gathering that if they would vote for BJS then it amounts to a sin comparable to eating beef," A Sai Manohar, Superintendent of Police (Narsinghpur) said.

Apperently, in a bid to beckon former Union Minister Prahlad Patel and his MLA brother and BJS candidate Jalam Singh Patel back to their parent party said that if they come back to BJP then it would be like returning to their mother's lap.

On the complaint of a BJS candidate, Sidhu's speech was analyzed an FIR was registered against him under section 171 of the IPC, said the SP.
