Mexico City  - Police at Mexico City's airport detained a Filipino Thursday who was carrying a large amount of undeclared cash - 44,600 dollars.

The Philippine citizen, Saponmg Marcelo Junior Cabang, was detained as he was boarding a flight to Amsterdam, Holland, officials said.

The money was found distributed at various places, including his jacket and a luggage compartment. (dpa)
