A recent study claims that there has been gradual increase in number of women who are addicted to Facebook, reports the Telegraph.

A research done by the Oxygen Media and Lightspeed Research (http://www.lightspeedresearch.com/), took responses of 1,605 adults using the site between May and June of this year.

It was observed that 21 per cent of women check their Facebook profiles in the middle of the night, and a further 20 per cent say that checking their Facebook account is the first thing they do in morning.

In another interesting conclusion stated that 57 per cent of women prefer meeting their Facebook friends face to face, but that 31 per cent prefer to maintain their friendships online.

Close to 42 per cent of the women surveyed think it is perfectly alright to post drunken pictures on Facebook, and 79 per cent have no problem with posting intimate photos online.

One the other hand a group of 63 per cent of women said that they use Facebook for their career and for networking.
