Explosion in Sri Lanka's capital, at least 45 injured
Colombo - At least 45 civilians were injured in a bomb explosion in the heart of the capital of Sri Lanka Saturday, a military spokesman said.
He said the bomb detonated in the central Pettah open-air market.
The incident came as government troops continued their military operations against rebels in the north, but it was unclear whether Tamil militants had anything to do with the explosion. (dpa)
