Exiled Tibetans continue demonstration in Dharamsala
Dharamsala/Varanasi, Mar 24: Exiled Tibetans coloured their faces in Dharamsala in a bid to catch the attention of the international community about their plight vis-à-vis China.
"In the last 13 days, individuals are using all the activism to contribute something for the cause. I think this is a great inspiration for the Tibetan movement. At the same time, we should keep that fire for longer versions of time. We should keep this movement going, as without it Tibet won't be free. Our belief is that it's not a question of the Beijing Olympics, but a question of the Tibetan movement," said Sonam, an exiled Tibetan.
Tibetan monks participated in a candlelight vigil in Varanasi to express their solidarity with the cause of Tibetan autonomy from Chinese rule.
The Dalai Lama has been urging Tibetans to resort to non-violent means. His middle-path is regarded as a 'pragmatic political approach' that meets with the demands of Tibetan autonomy. (ANI)
