Epson has introduced two new home theater projectors - Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD and Epson MovieMate 60.

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD is a high definition projector supporting a video resolution up to 720p. It is a 3 LCD projector with very bright projections. The maximum brightness it can provide is 2,500 lumens. The projector also offers a number of connectivity options, which includes an HDMI 1.3 interface with Component Video, S-Video and USB type A connectors.

The projector also features automatic keystone correction, four color modes for home entertainment and an optical zoom of 1.2X. It is equipped with a 200 Watt lamp, which offers a very high efficiency and usage period of about 5,000 hours.

The Epson MovieMate 60 is a portable projector measuring 5 inches by 9.3 inches by 3.4 inches (HWD). It combines the features of a home theatre and a digital projector into a single box. It is a projector with a CD/DVD player, embedded speakers and an integrated microphone jack. It is also a 3LCD projector but slightly less in the brightness with 2,000 lumens as compared to 2500 lumens of Home Cinema 705HD.

The newly launched home theatre projectors will hit markets by October. Price of the Home Cinema 705HD is estimated to be $749.99, while the MovieMate 60 is expected to cost around $699.
