England's attacking problems grow as Bent suffers injury
London - England manager Fabio Capello has suffered another attacking blow ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier with Ukraine after Darren Bent limped out of training on Tuesday.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker was only called up to the Italian's squad at the last minute after injuries to Emile Heskey and Carlton Cole in the 4-0 friendly win over Slovakia on Saturday.
Bent limped off after only five minutes of training on Tuesday and is now doubtful for the group six meeting with Ukraine, leaving Peter Crouch likely to come into the side.
Capello may consider playing Wayne Rooney alone up front, with Steven Gerrard just behind.
In better news for England, Rio Ferdinand is expected to be fit to partner John Terry in defence after missing the Slovakia game. (dpa)
