Engine driver killed in train accident in Czech Republic

Prague  - An engine driver died Monday after his locomotive collided with a stationary commuter train in the eastern Czech Republic, an official said.

The engine driver pulled into a station in the eastern Czech town of Moravany, crashing the engine into the back of a commuter train with a dozen passengers onboard, Czech Railway Inspection spokesman Zdenek Neusar said.

The commuter train driver and five passengers sustained light injuries, he said. The cause of the accident was under investigation. (dpa)
