Electric scissors recalled due to fire and burn hazards
It has been reported that the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Dritz Quick Cut Electric Scissors due to fire and burn hazards.
The report also noted that about 12,000 electric scissors were imported from China by Prym Consumer USA of Spartanburg, S. C., and sold nationwide at craft store outlets from September 2009 through February 2010 for about $50.
The commission further said that the blue and white electric scissors with "Dritz" written on the handle can overheat.
According to the officials of commission, consumers were advised to return the scissors to the retailer for a refund. (With Inputs from Agencies)
