Istanbul  - Eight Turkish soldiers were killed and three injured in a bomb attack in eastern Turkey on Monday, the Anadolu news agency reported.

Their military vehicle had been hit by a remotely detonated bomb near the town of Olukpinar in Erzincan province.

Authorities suspect the attack had been carried out by members of the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). (dpa)
