Efron, Hudgens face screaming fans at High School Musical 3 premiere
Melbourne, Nov 11 : American actors Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale faced a huge turn out of screaming fans as they made their way down the red carpet at the premiere of ‘High School Musical 3’.
There were more than 1500 screaming fans present at Sydney''s George St cinema precinct.
Some people had arrived at the venue at about 8am to get a front row view, hoping to get an autograph, a photo or just to catch a glimpse of the Disney stars.
“It’s fantastic ... amazing,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Efron as having said of the crowd reaction.
The crowd, which was already excited from watching the cheerleaders, grew louder when the Hollywood stars arrived and their screams turned from loud to ear splitting.
“It’s very overwhelming,” Hudgens, dressed in a cream BG Max Azria gown, said of the crowd.
“It’s incredible though, the fans are so amazing,” she added.
Hudgens received gifts of flowers from admirers, as well as a large box of Tim Tam biscuits.
“They’re my favourite. It’s so sweet, it’s the little things that count,” she said.
Efron, who is also Hudgens'' boyfriend offscreen, inspired some of the loudest squeals from the mostly female crowd.
The High School Musical series has sold 15 million CDs, 50 million books and 4.8 million video games and spawned stage shows, concerts and an ice tour since the first TV movie screened in 2006. (ANI)
