Earthquake of magnitude7 jolts Japan’s Okinawa
Monitoring agencies reported that a strong earthquake jolted Japan early Saturday, local time, southeast of Okinawa.
The U. S. Geological Survey put the magnitude at 7 while the Japan Meteorological Agency measured the quake at 6.9.
The quake was centered about 50 miles east-southeast of Okinawa, about 13.7 miles below the surface.
