Dip in prices of TV

Dip in prices of TVAccording to a latest finding it is the best time to buy electronic goods especially a television as prices are dropping to a rate which is double than expected, claims DisplaySearch, a research based firm.

The report further claims that LCD TVs shed 24% of their average selling price (ASP) in 2009, falling at twice the rate than in 2008, which means one can have a 32" LCD TV for less than $300 and 50" PDPs for substantially less than $1000.

The market research organisation foresees a further dip in price will seemingly continue, but eventually slow down following a huge demand for LCD TVs in China, an increased share of LED-backlit TVs and 3D TVs.

ASPS will fall by 4%, LED TVs will be witness a dip ranging from 30% to 50% over comparable LCD versions. Whereas, LCD TVs seems to strike a bargains with prices close to $300 for a 32" TV will be available close to fall or by Christmas, says the finding.

In the meanwhile the report states that even premium brands will be hit by this price point in Q4.
