State Home Secretary Ardhendu Sen told that a case has been lodged against Bag with the Nazirgunge police station in Howrah, for employing a child less than 14 years of age and physically torturing her.

He said the case might continue even after he gets retired.

The report about accusations of child torture was forwarded to the home secretary by Inspector General of Police (Organisation) Sumanbala Sahu on Wednesday.

Mr. Sen stated that the report conducted by Inspector Sahu pointed out that Bag and his wife were continuously torturing the girl servant.

According to sources, Inspector Sahu met Janata and her father Banshi, at the Don Bosco Asylum where she was sent to stay after the whole incidence became known on Saturday.

There has been a public protest against DIG for allegedly beating up Janata and causing injuries to her.
