Diana’s Pakistani heart surgeon lover to break his silence?

London, Jan 8: Dr Hasnat Khan, the Pakistani heart surgeonDr Hasnat Khan, the Pakistani heart surgeon Diana, Princess of Wales fell head over heels in love with is reportedly set to break his silence on their two-year relationship.

Dr Khan, who Diana dubbed her ‘Mr Wonderful’, and has been described as the ‘real’ love of her life by witnesses at her inquest, has maintained his silence over their relationship ever since it ended in 1997, just months before her death.

Now however, lawyers involved in the hearing into Diana and her beau Dodi Al Fayed’s deaths are confident that Dr Khan will reveal all of his relationship with the late royal.

They believe that he is anxious to set the record straight, and will give evidence either in a written form or by video-link from Pakistan where he now resides and practices.

His testimony is being seen as important as it may reveal Diana’s state of mind before the fatal car crash, as well as the reason for their split, reports the Telegraph.

It could also be crucial for the jury to decide the state of Diana and Dodi’s relationship.

Dodi’s father, Harrods boss Mohammed Al Fayed has maintained that the couple were engaged and planned to marry while witnesses have told the jury that that the princess had no wedding plans, and that she was only with Dodi to make Dr Khan jealous.

A close friend of the late royal has in the meantime told the jury that when he questioned her about her relationship with Dodi, she had told him it was “all over”.

The inquest also heard how a surveillance expert heard a ‘beep’ from a wall dividing her bedroom at Kensington Palace from the one used by her then hubby Prince Charles, and that it might have been from a “possible bugging device”. (ANI)
