Dense fog disrupts air traffic in DelhiNew Delhi, Jan 1 : A thick blanket of fog enveloped the national capital on Tuesday morning, reducing visibility on the streets and severely disrupting air traffic.

Seven domestic flights have been delayed this morning. One international flight has been held up as well as visibility conditions at the Indira Gandhi International Airport continue to be poor.

Visibility on the runways is less than 150 metres, and general visibility is 50 metres.

On Monday, the season''s coldest day so far in the capital, the flight schedule of around 40 flights was disrupted.

North India usually witnesses early morning fog every winter when night temperatures often dip below five degrees Celsius. (ANI)
