Dennis Hopper diagnosed with prostate cancerLondon, Oct 30 - Actor Dennis Hopper of "Easy Rider" fame has been diagnosed with prostate cancer just weeks after he was hospitalised for flu-like symptoms.

Contactmusic. com reports that Hopper's manager Sam Maydew has confirmed that the actor is battling prostate cancer and has cancelled all upcoming commitments to fight the disease.

"We're hoping for the best," Maydew has been quoted as saying.

The 73-year-old was admitted to a New York hospital towards the end of September this year after he complained of severe stomach cramps. At that time, his spokesperson had brushed off rumours that the actor was seriously ill. (IANS)
