DeNA launches Mobage social gaming platform worldwideDeNA has announced the launch of its Mobage social gaming network in the international markets.

Mobage, which has been originally available in Japan, will now be rolled out in China and for “English-speaking countries around the world.” The platform allows players to interact when playing games and also offer features including wall posts, direct messages and interest-based forums.

In China, the company has launched a “localised service for smartphones,” that is supported by Chinese versions of Ninja Royale and Aqua Collection games for Mobage. The two Android social games will be free to play while in-app purchases will be offered from the beginning of next month. The company also said that it will offer iOS Mobage app in China “in the near future.”

The release in English peaking countries will also target Android users. It said that it working “with the support of exclusive games from the world’s best social and mobile developers.” About 100 games are being developed for the platform and the company will introduce several social games soon.

DeNA said in a statement that “the service is slated to expand to other territories and mobile platforms soon.”
