Dell releases its rugged “Latitude 2100” notebooks in the Indian market
Seeking to target students, enterprises, and public institutions, Dell has launched its rugged “Latitude 2100” notebooks in the Indian market. Dell India touts that the Latitude 2100 notebooks are affordable and durable, heavy duty laptop computers.
Dell India claims that the Latitude 2100 notebooks are perfectly suited for the education sector, but they are also suitable for public sector and enterprise customers. The Latitude 2100 notebooks sport rubberized design with a vent-free bottom, which blocks the entry of fluid drops. The notebooks are easy-to-use, easy-to-carry, and safe-to-use for children
According to the website of Dell, the Latitude 2100 notebooks are available with optional touchscreen, solid-state drives, an external DVD-RW optical drive, quick-connect handles and shoulder straps, and a webcam. The notebooks with optional keyboard with an antimicrobial protection are also available (this option is currently available in United States only).
The Latitude 2100 notebooks use Intel Atom processor N270. The notebook features optical drive {External DVD+/-RW via USB (Optional)}. The notebooks offer connectivity for 0/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, full suite of wireless communication options. The notebooks use hard disk drives or solid state drives for storage. The notebooks come with three-in-one Media Card Reader, and VGA port. The notebooks run Windows XP Home/Windows Vista Home Basic/Linux Ubuntu operating systems.
Dell Latitude 2100 notebook weighs 1.32 kg (with a 3-cell battery). The notebooks use 3-cell or 6-cell batteries. The Dell Latitude 2100 notebooks are available in various color options. The Dell Latitude 2100 notebooks are available at the starting price of $495 (approx. Rs 23,205).
