If you remember the 2008 under-19 World Cup final in Kuala Lumpur, chances are you'd recollect Ajitesh Argal, who was adjudged Man-of-the-Final for his spell of 2 for 7 that took India to victory against South Africa.

On Thursday, the Delhi under-22 team, chasing Baroda’s first innings 257, got a taste of his bowling prowess.

Argal, who opened the bowling for the visitors, returned with figures of 6 for 36 to skittle out Delhi for 111. The seamer was well supported by left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh (3 for 28) who was also a star performer at the junior World Cup.

For Delhi, opener Abhishek Kapoor was the only saving grace as he scored 65 off 135 balls. He batted for 212 minutes to get to his half-century but failed to get support at the other end. At one stage, Delhi were 93 for three but lost seven wickets for just 14 runs.

In their second inning, Baroda are 116 for no loss with Anupam Gupta batting at 42 and Kedar Devdhar at 54.
