Rawalpindi, Nov 24: At least sixteen security officials killed and several other injured in two suicide attacks that occurred near the Pakistan Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

"One was at a check post near GHQ and the other was on a bus of sensitive institution near Faizabad," The News quoted Director General ISPR Major General Waheed Arshad, as saying.

Fifteen people were killed and several injured in an attack on the bus of sensitive institution in front of the main gate of the Defence Ministry.

In another suicide attack at army check post, one security official killed and three other injured.

Initial reports suggested that both were suicide attacks, he added.

The area has been cordoned off after the blast and body of deceased person and inured were shifted to nearby hospital. (ANI)
