On 11th October in Mumbai, the doping case concerning Mohammad Asif will be Date For The Hearing Of Doping Test Of Asif Decided heard.

During the month of May, when the 25 year old Pakistani fast bowler of Pakistan was due to play for the Delhi Daredevils during the inaugural Indian Premier League competition, he was tested positive for nandorlone.

Initially this hearing was to be heard on 30th August, but on the request of Asif and his lawyer, the date was further postponed. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, lawyer Shirish Gupte and doctor Ravi Bapat are the members of the IPL drug panel. 

If the player is found guilty, he would be banned for two years. This would also include international cricket since PCB is all set to bear the result.
