Daniel Radcliffe: It "would be great" to get an erection onstage
New Delhi, December 3: Daniel Radcliffe, who stunned New York critics with his terrific performance in ‘Equus’, said it would be great if he had an erection onstage.
The ‘Harry Potter’ actor, in Peter Shaffer’s psychological drama, had bared all while playing the troubled young teen Alan Strang who suffers from a strange sexual fascination with horses.
The 19-year-old actor, who spent 18 months to prepare his body for the role since he "knew he would be appearing naked,” admitted that he would prefer the audience to see “his manhood in all its glory,” reports China Daily.
He said: "A friend asked me once, ''Are you worried about getting an erection on stage? ''I said, ''No, that would be great!'' Rather the opposite takes place actually."
Radcliffe further confessed that he’d never get accustomed to dropping his clothes on stage.
He added: " If you take the job, you take everything that comes with it. "It''s never going to be the most comfortable thing to be naked in front of people on stage. Personally, it''s not my thing.” (ANI)
