Cyber criminal: Beware of secret finger prints
Cyber crime is so relevant now-a-days that people are just afraid of being online and sharing their private information. These cyber criminals or hackers can steal vital information right from PCs of the users when they are connected to internet. But now the web browsers can detect the unauthorized access by these hackers.
According to Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), majority of web browsers leave distinctive autograph and that can be used to follow anyone's online movement. A software tool has been created to grab the information from the user which includes operating system, numbers for plug-ins, system fonts, screen size and color.
Study shows that about 84 % of the combinations of these collected data are inimitable and can be considered as the browser finger print. Browsers installed with Adobe Flash Player or Java VM is 94 % matchless and traceable. When java script is blocked by the browsers then it become less traceable. But overall browser fingerprint is a great method, and fingerprints must be taken into consideration when we converse about web privacy and user traceability.
