Corradi joins Udinese in active Serie A market

Corradi joins Udinese in active Serie A marketRome - Serie A side Udinese have signed veteran striker Bernardo Corradi from relegated Reggina, club president Giampaolo Pozzo on Saturday told the local television station Tele Nordest.

Corradi, 33, is to replace Fabio Quagliarella, 26, who on Monday signed a five-year contract with Napoli.

Pozzo said that Udinese are negotiating with Juventus for the transfer of play maker Gaetano D'Agostino, 27, and expect to receive a couple of young players in exchange from the Turin club.

Major transfer deals are being discussed regarding AC Milan Brazilian star Kaka and Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Italian champions Inter Milan.

Kaka's move to Real Madrid appears imminent, although Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi was quoted as saying: "It's not said yet that he'll leave."

A meeting this week between Inter president Massimo Moratti and his Barcelona colleague Joan Laporta sparked rumours that Barca, the fresh European champions, could buy the Swedish striker.

Ibrahimovic, 27, was the Serie A top scorer with 25 goals in his third season at Inter. After the season ended last weekend, he said he was not sure to remain at Inter the next season.(dpa)
