Karachi, Feb. 24 : While top teams of the world have refused to visit Pakistan citing security reasons, former England fast bowler Dominic Cork has said that if he has no problem touring the country, other teams should not hesitate in doing so.

Cork, who is in Pakistan as a television commentator, for the ongoing Sri Lanka Test series, said: "I enjoy being in Karachi. I said this before when I came for the one-day matches last month. I have a great time as a commentator, it is fantastic experience with top class hospitality and arrangements."

He hoped that the International Cricket Council (ICC) would come forward regarding the issue, and would urge teams to visit Pakistan.

"I hope the ICC will try to persuade England, Australia and South Africa to come here for cricket," The Daily Times quoted Cork, as saying.

Several top cricketing teams such as Australia, South Africa, and England have refused to tour Pakistan recently due to its volatile security conditions.

India cancelled its tour after the Mumbai attacks raised fears of war between both the countries. According to an estimate Pakistan incurred a loss of 40 million dollars due to the cancellation of the India series, which was scheduled for January-February this year.

Later, the ICC also shifted the Champions Trophy after three top teams pulled out saying that touring Pakistan was a high risk for their players.(ANI)
