Ola hires Shalabh Seth as CEO for Ola Fleet Technologies

New Delhi [India], Jan 11 : Taxi aggregator Ola on Wednesday announced appointment of Shalabh Seth as the CEO of Ola Fleet Technologies, a wholly owned leasing subsidiary.

Shalabh joins Ola from SAB Miller India, where he served as the Managing Director and was responsible for business expansion and growth in the country.

He joins Ola at a time when the company is experiencing rapid growth and is transforming the ride-sharing industry through product and business innovation.

As CEO of Ola Fleet Technologies, Shalabh will drive supply growth through leasing and other driver focused initiatives, to consolidate Ola's position as the market leader in the Indian ridesharing space.

New Delhi [India], Dec.2 : Ola Money, the popular digital payment solution from Ola, will be accepted at over 20,000 HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd) and IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Ltd) fuel pumps across the country.

Users can now pay for their fuel with Ola Money on Verifone enabled PoS devices in any of these fuel stations, with a one step mobile verification process.

Acceptance of Ola Money in major public utilities and now fuel stations across the country is a major step forward by large PSUs which are supporting the government's vision of a Digital India.

Ola Money is accepted at over 500 online and offline merchants, as well as for bill payments at over 25 major utilities across India

New Delhi [India], Nov 10 : Digital payment solution from taxi aggregator Ola has reported over 1500 percent increase in recharges across the 102 cities of its operation.

The Ola Money wallet has witnessed unprecedented traction amongst consumers over the last 12-15 hours with a 15 times increase in recharge volume. In many smaller towns and cities across the country, which have predominantly been high on cash usage, there has been as much as 30 times growth.

This includes cities like Nagpur, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Lucknow, Patna, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Indore etc. A majority of rides are being paid for using Ola Money as against cash across India.

New Delhi [India], Nov 4 : Taxi aggregator Ola has announced the launch of 'One way' trip fares on Ola Outstation for smart mobility solution for inter-city travel.

Bringing more flexibility, convenience and cost-effectiveness to the recently launched Ola Outstation; the introduction of 'One-way' fares allows customers to avail one-way bookings at reduced fares.

One-way on Outstation gives customers the option of booking a cab for an outstation trip without having to pay for a round trip that they haven't taken. This has been made possible due to the sheer scale of Ola, as the largest transportation platform, connecting 500+ cities and towns across India with its unique Outstation offering.

Ola delights customers with free rides and more during Durga Puja

New Delhi [India], Oct.10 : Ola, India's most popular mobile app for transportation, today announced that it has associated with Greater Kailash Assembly Citizens organization to offer a delightful mobility experience for people visiting Durga Puja pandals in Chittaranjan Park in South Delhi.

During the period of 8th-11th October, Ola will provide free-of-cost cab service to ferry visitors from Nehru Place metro station to these puja pandals.

Ola e-rickshaws will also be available between 8th-9th October for senior citizens who want to enjoy pandal-hopping within CR Park. Ola has installed special kiosks near the parking zone at Nehru Place Metro Station, where volunteers from the Puja Committee will guide visitors to the zone for boarding cabs heading to CR Park.
