The market projected that the total production of turmeric in the current year is estimated at 52 lakh bags against 70 lakh bags that were estimated in the last year. Rainfall occurred at many places over Kerala and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Coastal Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Interior Karnataka. On Tuesday, rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Technically market is under fresh buying as market has witnessed gain in open interest by 10.91% to settled at 9350 while prices up 114 rupee, now Turmeric is getting support at 6563 and below same could see a test of 6443 level, And resistance is now likely to be seen at 6775, a move above could see prices testing 6867.
Turmeric trading range for the day is 6437-6861.
