Commodity Trading Tips for Jeera by Kedia Commodity
Jeera settled up by 0.22% at 16265 due to limited arrivals from growing regions. Though, expectation of higher production in the major producing regions, capped some gains. Rains in western India may limit the trade operations and prospects of good sowing in rabi season. While according to the latest communiqué from the spice board, cumin seeds exports stood at 155,500 tonne in 2014-15 and earned foreign exchange of Rs 1,838.20 crore while in 2013-14, the figures had stood at 121,500 tonne valued at Rs 1,600 crore. Meanwhile Gujarat one of the largest producers of jeera or cumin seeds in the country, has received good rains in the last couple of weeks. This has increased the moisture content of the soil. Jeera output was 3.46 lakh tonne in Gujarat last year but may fall this year as the acreage fell by 42 per cent last year. At Gondal (Guj.) market sources reported arrivals at 200 quintals, lower by 100 quintals from previous day's arrivals. At Rajkot market total arrivals are at 125 quintal, down by 115 quintal as compared to previous day. At Unjha market in Mehsana arrivals were reported at 3000 quintals, down by 1000 quintals from previous trading day. At Nagaur (Raj.) market estimated market supply was at 250 quintals, up by 50 quintals from previous day's arrivals. In Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, jeera edged up by 100 rupees to end at 16530 rupee per 100 kg. Technically market is under fresh buying as market has witnessed gain in open interest by 1.23% to settled at
17532 while prices up 35 rupee, now Jeera is getting support at 16130 and below same could see a test of 15995 level, And resistance is now likely to be seen at 16470, a move above could see prices testing 16675.
