Jeera November contract gained Rs 7 and settled at Rs 12900 a kg on poor supplies and diminishing stocks but tepid exports and expectation of a rise in acreage may weigh. In India, jeera is cultivated during winter from October to December, and harvested during February-April. The total arrivals of jeera were around 2500 bags were reported at Unjha Mandi against 1500 bags from the previous day. In Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, jeera gained 75 rupees to end at 13075 rupees per 100 kg. The contract made intraday low of Rs 12840 a kg and high of Rs 12980 a kg. Support for jeera is at 12833 below that could see a test of 12767. Resistance is now seen at 12973 above that could see a resistance of 13047.
