Coalition forces kill 60 Taliban fighters
Kabul, Sep 26 : At least sixty Taliban fighters were killed in Afghanistan's southern Helmand on Wednesday.
According to a coalition force statement, one soldier died in the fighting, which reportedly began when the Taleban attacked the coalition patrol party near Musa Qala town.
"The US-led forces returned fire after the insurgents attacked a joint coalition-Afghan patrol with machine guns, mortars and rocket propelled grenades," the BBC quoted a spokesman of the coalition forces, as saying.
Helmand has experienced some of the fiercest fighting, for the past two years.
So far over 3, 000 people have been killed in clashes. (With inputs from ANI)
