Citibank India tops the net banking score in 2009Citibank India, the Indian arm of the leading global financial services company has recently bagged the award for the 'Excellence in Internet Banking' for the year 2009. The financial institution was honoured with the award at The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards Program.

In fact, under the category the bank has outperformed 120 banks and financial institutions from 23 countries across the APAC, Gulf and Central Asian region. For the uninitiated, The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards are being administered and monitored by renowned consultants and global bankers to ensure a balanced and transparent scorecard.

In fact, the winner is announced only after a strict three month-long evaluation process. N. Rajashekaran, Country Business Manager, Consumer and Commercial Banking, Citi India explained the fact that Online banking is getting more and more popular by the day among the consumers and the company will continue to invest more with an aim to make it more secure yet easy for the consumer.

Moreover, Citi was also awarded the top slot in the category of Best Regional Retail Business in Asia for 2009.
