Christoph Waltz wins best supporting actor Oscar for `Django Unchained`
Los Angeles, Feb 25 : Christoph Waltz has won the best Supporting actor Oscar for Quentin Tarantino's film "Django Unchained."
The 56-year-old actor beat competition form Alan Arkin - `Argo,' Philip Seymour Hoffman - `The Master,' Tommy Lee Jones - `Lincoln' and Robert De Niro - `Silver Linings Playbook,' the LA Times reported.
Waltz won the Academy Award for playing Dr. King Schultz, a dentist-turned-bounty hunter who frees slave Django, portrayed by Jamie Foxx.
He dedicated his win to the film's writer and director, Quentin Tarantino saying that they participated in a hero's journey with the hero being Tarantino.
Waltz had previously won the award was for his supporting role in `Inglourious Basterds.' (ANI)
