Chip giant Intel has seen strong profitsThe US-based chip making company Intel has registered huge profits and has claimed to be its best quarterly profits. The figures showed a profit of 2.9 billion dollars for the three months up to June that is well above than expected before.

The firm had faced a loss of 398 million dollars just a year before. The revenue for the period of three months to June was 10.8 billion dollars which was a huge income and the firm has described that as a very strong corporate demand of the company in the global market.

The chipmaker is also expecting revenues of 11.6 billion dollars for the three months up to September.

After just hours of this forecast the shares of Intel climbed up by 5%. The experts are very pleased with the performance of Intel and expecting the shares to rise more and more in future.

Intel is the second US-based company to report this kind of improved quarterly results, before this the aluminum firm Alcoa has reported its quarterly result yesterday. But the market experts are not looking so confident about Alcoa against Intel.
