Chinese researcher calls for international cooperation to fight hackers

New Delhi, Sept.22 : China has called for greater international cooperation to prevent hackers' attacks.

According to Wang Xinjun, a researcher at the Academy of Military Sciences, countries should stop accusing each other for hacking crimes and conceive a joint plan to tackle the menace.

"Countries should strengthen exchanges of information on hackers' attacks and make it easier for other countries to track down on the hackers," he said.

"The Chinese Government has always adopted a serious attitude to information security and regarded the Internet-wrecking crimes as common challenges to non-traditional security of the whole world," Xinhua quoted him, as saying.

China has issued several laws and regulations to safeguard computer system security and strengthened its research on computer system security.

Earlier this month, Chinese military hackers were accused of hacking into crucial ministries and offices in Germany, Britain, France and the United States between June and September this year.

China has rejected these charges. (With inputs from ANI)
