China, Taiwan sign deal
Taipei, Nov 4 : China and Taiwan reportedly signed agreements today worth billions of dollars aimed at improving direct trade and transport links between them.
As per the deals, the number of direct passenger flights each week would be tripled, and tax-free cargo shipments would be allowed between ports in China and Taiwan, reported The News.
China has claimed sovereignty over Taiwan since the two split in civil war in the 1940s.
In the past, Beijing has threatened to use force to reunify Taiwan with China. (ANI)
