Chick-Fil-A comes up with suggestion to help drop those pounds you may have packed on during holidays

Chick-Fil-A has come up with a suggestion to help drop those pounds an individual might have packed on during the holidays. It has suggested consumption of grilled chicken nuggets.

Bags of the fast food chain read, “Kick off the New Year by adding one healthy habit to your routine. Here’s a good one: Eat smaller meals (like an 8-count pack of grilled nuggets) every three to four hours”.

It has now being called as the ‘Chick-fil-A diet’ went viral after SBNation's Rodger Sherman posted a photograph of the bag on Twitter.

After that tweet, the chicken chain has been receiving a numerous snaky comments from many, who have interpreted that Chick-fil-A is trying to tell everybody to consume their nuggets 6 times every day. However, they are doing so, as they are talking about the grilled chicken nuggets, not the fried ones.

Chick-Fil-A have been suggesting people to eat a food piece nearly the same size as their grilled nuggets in every three to four hours, citing their menu item.

The reason behind such a step by the American fast food restaurant chain could be that nutritionists and fitness experts have said that consumption of healthy snacks, containing fewer calories and are low in fat can boost overall health.

If we take a closer look at the nutrition label, they are low in carbs, contain 140 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving.

However, it will sum up to huge amount if an individual follows the advice of the chain, of consuming them every three hours. If you go by the advice, at 530mg per serving, you’d probably reach the upper safe limit roughly 2,300 mg of daily sodium consumption daily.
